Appget is a version control application for Windows. If you are familiar with the Software Informer client, then you know what these applications do. When you install Appget, you will give it permission to search your computer and find what applications are installed. Then, it will grab the versions of those apps and upload them to a web server where a database is built. When the database is made aware of a new version of a particular application, it will tell all the clients that a new version is available and (hopefully) provide a download link for that update.
Appget allows you to download a new version or even submit a download link for a new version. So, I am taking it, every user contributes information here and then, to keep the project afloat. The graphical user interface is particularly simple and basic. The applications which have available updates are highlighted in red and separated from the Versions up-to-date. Appget also can be set to start automatically with Windows. You can also configure it to look for updates automatically or you can carry out that task manually. Applications like this are bound to present errors in the versions numbers, so that's totally understandable. Also, your profile is always kept anonymous.
